American Satin Cavies

The American Satin Cavy has an absolutely beautiful sheen to the coat - very eye-catching!  American Satins are currently judged under 9 different color categories, with several colors grouped together.

Because of the distinctive satin coat, most of the judging points are allocated to the coat sheen, texture and length, with color following closely behind.

The American Satin body type is similar to the American's - medium, firm with wide shoulders, a roman nose and a prominent crown.

As of fall 2005, we have sold most of our satin stock, some went to Tabatha Poritz of TGirls Rabbitry
