Our Foundation French Lops

The French Lops behind our LaReau Lops line!

page 1

Our foundation line started out with some nice Creek Haven Lops French Lops, and over time, we've added and combined other lines to improve and refine some of the traits in our original stock.

We still own much of our original French Lop foundation stock, and continue to use some of them for breeding and showing.  Some are no longer at our rabbitry, but are still mentioned here because of their contributions to our herd.

Following are pictures of each French Lop (in no particular order), with a short description and history.  If a longer or significant history is attached to a particular rabbit, a link to that article is provided.

If you know of any history about one of our foundation French Lop lines, please contact us!  We are always interested in learning more about each of our rabbits' backgrounds!

Jen's Jones

Jen's Nippon Nip x Jen's ISIS

broken black

Shadow, as he is called at our rabbitry, was bred by Elaine Diedrich, and purchased from Paula Courtney in early 2004.  He has an impressive background including some heavy-boned Mair's stock, Rabbit Patch and Garrett's.  Shadow has contributed bone, bone, and more bone to our line!

Sugar River Lex

Sugar River Davey x Sugar River Liz

solid opal

We purchased this buck from Donna Jordan when she sold out in 2004 - very nice buck despite this poor picture!   Rabbit Patch, Mr. Z's and Reilly's lines way back in his pedigree. He's a large, solid buck with a super-sweet personality who has contributed his dilute gene and thick ears to our colored line of French Lops!

Creek Haven Janet

Creek Haven Rowdy x Rabbit Patch Miss Piggy

solid chinchilla-steeled

Janet was the first doe we purchased from Gary Smith and has since been granded, including a BOB win in early 2004!   She is retired from showing now.

BB's 3

Mr Z's Luke x LL's Roshell

broken blue chinchilla

Sugar is an awesome doe bred by and purchased from Geoff Bonne in 2004.  Colorful background including Rabbit Patch, LOJ, and Ott's lines.  Read more about Sugar's ancestors here!  Sugar, is 16 lbs, with a solid body and excellent depth - she is the foundation doe for our colored line.  3 legs.

Creek Haven Sandy

Creek Haven Vic x Creek Haven Sweet P

solid chestnut agouti

Sandy is another large, solid doe purchased from Gary Smith.  She won BOV in the spring of 2004 before Kelly retired her for breeding.  Nicest personality of any rabbit we've known!

Creek Haven Vicki

Creek Haven Pork Chop x Creek Haven Marcy

broken chinchilla

Vicki is one of the largest, sweetest does and has a beautiful light chin color!  Kelly has only bred her one time - to Creek Haven Rod, which produced LaReau's Max.  She's been retired and now enjoys life as our huge spoiled pet!
