Welcome To Our Rabbit & Cavies Extras Web Segment!

2/20/09 - I just published this new segment to my website and although the pages are made, I don't have info on all of them yet - stop back often, as I'll be working on these pages almost daily!

I decided my site needs a segment to capture all the extra stuff and tidbits that I want in my website but didn't know where to put - I will eventually have lots of fun stuff here; free rabbit graphics, free cavy graphics and website tips for the new rabbit breeder, rabbit cartoons and humor.

By the way, the German Shorthair, to your left, is one of our dogs.  Since she was a little puppy, she's had this strange habit of picking up any empty food bowl she sees; then parades around and 'shows' it to anyone who could give a care, crying the whole time!  Here, she was 'helping' with chores and found one of our carrier cups sitting out so she picked it up and showed everyone, pitifully crying!  Now...anyone that knows me, knows there is not a creature under my care that ever wants of food, even our spiders are probably overweight....nonetheless, this dog's funny habit and picture fit perfectly for our 'extras' web segment!

We used to raise cavies and had a lot of information on our old website about cavies - now I've got a place to put all that back in; how to ear tag your cavy, pictures of different cavy breeds, plus tips on raising and showing cavies.

The French Lops were so popular when we raised them, that I almost regret getting out of that breed - for the time being, I'll put some of our French Lop pictures and French Lop information in this segment to help those getting into this large rabbit breed.

I've got a few serious subjects here too- all about animal rights and about the increasing threat to our animal breeding hobby.  I hope you'll take a few minutes to read my perspective on this and if you are a politically-minded animal raiser, our hobby could surely use your help!
