History of French Lop BB's 3

Ancestors of
BB's 3 (Sugar):
We bought 'Sugar'
(BB 3) from Geoff Bonne during the summer of 2004. Instantly, we knew
this beautiful doe was going to become an important part of our foundation herd!
Sugar's ancestors were owned and produced by Danielle Stenli,
Lotsa Lops,
and Danielle gives me the following information on our doe's
background: Mass production of French lops was never Lotsa Lops' goal, but
rather Danielle selectively bred her fine animals to produce some amazing French
Lops that did well on the show tables. Danielle has been known to help
others starting out, and she has sold some awesome show stock to beginners, instead of keeping
them all for herself! Sugar's mom, LL's Rochelle, was produced from Danielle breeding
LOJ Oscar (purchased from Joy Eckstrom, CA), to her doe,
LL's Raquel. Raquel is from the 'Rock line' and was the product of
Ott's
Rock Hound, a buck Danielle
purchased from Vicki Ott of California, at a
convention. Danielle
has kept this 'Rock line' going for several years
now, and these lops have proven to be an exceptional family! Danielle sold
LL's Rochelle to Geoff Bonne, of
Bonne Bunnys and he searched for a buck to breed
her to. He found Mr. Z's Luke, a frosty buck owned by Reilly's Rabbits,
and this pairing produced some beautiful dilute French Lops, one of which is our
broken squirrel doe, Sugar. Wow! thanks Danielle and Geoff for producing such a
nice line of French Lops (and thanks for the pics and info!) and thanks Geoff
for allowing Sugar to be part of our rabbitry! Still hoping to find out
info on the Reilly buck.
